The contrast was more amazing that these pictures can capture but you get the idea. And with our less-than-favorable weather continuing here in Chicago, it's nice to at least see Spring even though we can't really feel it.

Budding Trees
You know how I mentioned before that I have this compulsion to take random pictures? Well, yesterday I couldn't resist the beautiful colors of the green budding trees against the gray sky (the fact that I was taking the pictures during extra long stops at Stop signs is besides the point).

Tree
I don't know about you, but when I see something beautiful, no matter how random it is, I just have to take a picture of it. Kind of like the feeling that you have to tell someone when they have something in their teeth or it will drive you crazy. So I always have my camera with me (which is in serious need of an upgrade) for when these moments arise.
I usually end of looking like a crazy person in these moments...waiting for the bus, frantically getting my camera out, taking as many pictures as I can (of seemingly nothing to on-lookers) before the bus gets there. Oh well...I embrace those crazy looks.
So here are some pictures I took yesterday morning. I loved the way that the intricate branches looked against the background of the sky and how the light makes it look like a black and white photo even though it's not.

El Station

I was driving home from work the other day and when I went to wipe the dirt off the windshield there was no fluid so it just smeared the dirt into streaks. It made all the lights look so cool kind of like when you put on those special 3-D glasses that change all the lights into snowflakes. So what did I do? Took out my camera and got some pics of course!

Looking on the bright side of things
Our car has been in the shop almost once a week since we got it. Not a good track record so far. It's been having some problems starting. So last week when this happened again we decided to bring it to a new mechanic in hopes of getting it fixed once and for all. The best part about this new mechanic was that we got to have the car towed to the shop in this antique tow truck. I had never seen one like it and thought I would snap a few pictures.
