Thanksgiving

So I'm finally getting around to posting about Thanksgiving. Anyway, it was a Johnson/Wallgren holiday extravaganza! Mark, Debbie and Jeff were able to come out to Chicago for the holiday which was so fun. We were packed like sardines in our little one bedroom apartment but it just added to the fun of it all, right Johnsons? :) But having family stay with us just made our place feel even more like a home. It was fun to able to show them around our hood and give them a little taste of city life which inevitably gave Mark some business ideas (maybe someday the "Johnson parking lot" will be up and running). And we were able to get downtown to see all the Christmas decorations and lights. But most importantly there was lots of time just to hang out, talk, relax and catch up.

In looking back at pictures I realize that didn't take any pictures on Thanksgiving but I guess I got a few from the rest of the weekend.

At the Ann Sather's in our neighborhood...best cinnamon rolls!

On a little field trip to the Washington Library downtown.

Up on the 96th floor of the Hancock in the Signature Lounge.

When we got up there the view looked like this...

...and this...

...but then the sun set...

...then it looked like this...

...and this. This is the coveted view that only women get from the women's restroom. It was a new experience for me to be up there right when the sun set. The views were beautiful!

Mark, Debbie and Jeff; thanks for coming out to Chicago! It was great having you here at our place and celebrating Thanksgiving together. And we look forward to celebrating Christmas with you guys in Washington in January!
