Such a tragic situation in Japan right now. As I am watching all the videos and pictures that are coming out of Japan, I keep thinking how crazy it is that there is so much first hand footage from the earthquake/tsunami.
Which begs the question...
With all the technology that is a part of our lives now, have we somehow overridden our survival instincts with the want to capture everything on film? I tend to think that if I were in that situation I would be planning a way out and not thinking "wait, let me get out my flip cam"...but I suppose I'll never know what I would actually do in that situation (hopefully).
